Quran Speaks: A Message for Humanity
By Nouman Ali Khan
Opening and Introduction
As-salāmu 'alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.
"O mankind! A lesson has come to you from your Lord and a cure for what is in your hearts, and a guidance and glad tidings for the believers." (Quran 10:57)
"Say, "O Prophet,' 'By the grace of Allah and by His mercy,' so let them rejoice. It is better than what they gather." (Quran 10:58)
This is my last session with you guys, as was mentioned many many many times against my will, that I have a flight to catch, but inshallah ta'ala I wanted to leave you with reflections on this topic. I'll start with an admission.
Conference Titles and Real Purpose
A lot of times, I go to a lot of conferences, and a lot of conferences have these really weird titles for speeches that even the speaker doesn't know what he's talking about. So they kind of just go and make up whatever must mean, you know, the enlightenment of the forward-thinking Islamic establishment of community in the civilization of western hemispheres. I'll just talk about taqwa.
So, when I first heard Quran speaks, I was like, hmm, what does that mean? But nonetheless, what I wanted to share with you is actually something from Surah Yunus. And Surah Yunus is a Meccan surah, and it's a very interesting conversation throughout the surah. It's a conversation with people in Mecca, and it looks deep inside the psychology behind shirk.
Understanding the Psychology of Shirk
One of the reasons why people commit the heinous act of setting up partners with Allah. Why do people do it? And essentially why people do it, the argument of the surah, I'll summarize for you because it's a long surah. The summarized argument is that essentially people don't want to own up to responsibility.
The idea that you and I have to stand one day in front of Allah, and we have to answer Allah for the stuff that we did, is a very difficult thing to come to terms with. Most people, even if they know that, pretend
not to know it, or try to forget about it. And if they know it, they try not to think about it, or they get uncomfortable when they're reminded about that.
They say, can we just talk about something else, that's a little too depressing. And others just deny it outright, it's not going to happen. But there are other interesting ways in dealing with that reality too.
The Ostrich Analogy
You know when an ostrich, an ostrich is an interesting animal, it's got this huge body, but a very very tiny little brain. So when an animal, like a lion attacks an ostrich, you know what it does a lot of times? It sticks its head in the ground. Like it doesn't want to face that reality.
Does that make it any safer? Actually no, it makes it a bigger target. It's a pretty good statement about the size of that animal's brain, and how little it's put to use, right? Well the same thing happens with the human being in some sense. There's a reality that's headed all of our way.
Allah calls it al-waqi'ah, al-qari'ah, He calls it different names. That reality, whether you face it or not, is coming. And so people don't want to deal with that reality, so they come up with different kinds of defense mechanisms.
The False Concept of Shafa'ah (Intercession)
And to help you understand this defense, this one particular defense mechanism, in this surah, I want to give you an example. Let's say for instance you're one of the brothers who's good for nothing. You don't do well at school, you don't pay attention in classes, you're lazy, you wake up late, you don't do anything right, you're just good for nothing.
Don't look at your cousin. Just don't look at him. Now, you want to get a job and your uncle gets you a job.
Even though you're good for nothing, your uncle has a hook-up in the company, he gets you a job. And obviously even after getting a little bit of job training and spending like 2-3 weeks on the job, it's pretty obvious that you're a lousy employee, you show up late every time, you don't finish your work, you're pretty much pathetic. At that point, there's a job that was given to you, there was a task that was given to you, and you're in trouble because you didn't finish it.
But you still feel kind of secure. Why? Why do you feel secure? I got an uncle. He's the manager, so if the boss ever gets mad, my uncle can handle the trouble.
It won't ever come down to me. He'll cover for me. This concept of someone coming in between you and the authority, they'll put in a good word for you. This is the concept of shafa'ah. Shafa'ah means in Arabic, for someone to come in between and put in a good word for you. And this is essentially the argument of
Surah Yunus in terms of people and their inability to imagine that one day they will have to deal with Allah directly.
What would they rather do? Have some connections. Someone in between who can take the hits for them, who can come in between and say, You know what, Ya Allah, this guy is with me. Just go easy on him.
I got him covered. He's family. So they set up these idols, and it seems at first it's so illogical.
Why would somebody worship idols? Why would someone worship someone termed the son of God? But if you look at the psychology, it's exactly the same. Whether it's Jesus, or it's Lat, Manat, or Uzzah, or anything else. The idea is on Judgment Day, I don't have to answer to God.
Jesus will deal with them. Jesus will deal with God. And I'll have my pass, because I'm connected to Him.
So I don't longer have to make Allah happy. Who do I make happy? The broker in between. You understand? This is the concept of what again? Shafa'ah. False shafa'ah. So the mushrikun, they set up these idols, and they want to make sure that their connections, these idols, are happy. They don't have to now worry about making who happy? Allah.
Because they've got someone in between. And also, the one who has the authority will tell you what to do, what is right and what is wrong. He can tell you what's halal and what is haram.
What you must do, what you must not do. He will tell you. But these authorities in between, they're there, so you can take it easy. You don't have to follow the rules, because you won't get in trouble. So the moment you set up a shafi'ah, you no longer need to worry about the rights and the wrongs. Because you've got that covered.
You're no longer in trouble. When the Qur'an came, one of its fundamental messages was that there's a direct connection between the slave and the master. There's nothing in between.
Direct Accountability to Allah
You and I will have to come and stand in front of Allah directly. And yes, we do have a concept of shafa'ah. The shafa'ah of who? Muhammad Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم). I'll talk about that at the end.
Because there's now two kinds of intercession. That's the big SAT word, right? Somebody coming in between you and Allah, there are two concepts. There's the concept we believe in, the Prophet will come (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and testify for us and make a case for us and say, no, they're with me.
And on the other hand, we're saying that the mushrikun have shafa'ah too. So we have to make a distinction between those two. I'll do that at the end.
But before I do, Qur'an comes and says directly that you are responsible to Allah. No connections. You can't take advantage of that relationship. What He demands from you, He will ask you about directly. You have to answer to Him. It crushes this concept of shafa'ah.
So when they looked at that first, they said, this book is not good for us. It's making life harder. Life was easier when someone in between had to deal with the final answering. Now we have to deal with it ourselves. It's too much. Allah (عز وجل) first of all, wants us to rethink, our humanity to rethink their attitudes towards the Qur'an.
Allah's Address to All Humanity
This is a Makkan surah. Allah does not begin this ayah that I want to share with you with (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا) He begins it with (يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ) People People includes believers and it includes non-believers.
Everybody. Listen up. This is an ayah in which Allah is introducing the Qur'an to people. Without using the word Qur'an. He's introducing people to what the Qur'an is supposed to be. He says (قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ). First and foremost.
What has come to you already, a heart penetrating piece of advice has come to you already. That's what Allah calls the Qur'an. He doesn't call it a book of laws, rights and wrongs. He doesn't call it a punishment or something harsh. He calls it, I'm using the term carefully now, heart penetrating advice.
(وَعْظ) in Arabic is to give someone advice. Advice that goes in, is (وَعْظ). In other words, people give you advice all the time and you say, yeah, mm-hmm, yeah, gotcha, thanks. Alright. Okay, I gotcha, I gotcha, I don't need to hear this again.
Thank you very much. That's your attitude when somebody gives you advice. But sometimes, very rarely, somebody gives you advice and it goes right in there.
It goes right in and you're like, you're right man. I didn't realize. It rarely happens but it happens. That somebody gives you advice and it goes right inside your heart. When the advice enters your heart, that kind of advice, that penetrating advice is called (وَعْظ). The Arabic word (مَوْعِظَة) implies two things. That dhamma quta at the end implies that it happens at every instant.
Every time an ayah comes and you read it sincerely, then it's supposed to deeply penetrate inside your heart. And secondly, it's very powerful. That's what the (مستريم) means, what the meem in the beginning is for.
I know you don't know what I'm talking about but that's okay. It's very very strong advice that goes right into your heart and just hits you. It just hits you. (مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ). It's come from your master. That kind of good advice has come to you from your master.
The Quran as Healing for the Heart
Now, the disease of shirk is a disease of the heart. The worst disease of the heart. Where does the advice go? Inside the heart. Just like medicine goes inside the heart. Wherever the disease is, that's where the medicine goes. So if the disease is that of shirk which is inside the heart, Allah uses the word (مَوْعِظَة) because (مَوْعِظَة) goes inside the heart.
Now, once medicine goes inside the diseased part of your body, what does it start doing? It starts healing. It starts curing. Allah says (قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاءٌ لِمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ). It's very logical now. Now that the medicine has entered inside, Allah says that now it's a cure for what is inside the chest.
How can it cure what's inside the chest if it's not even in the chest yet? If it's not even inside the heart yet, how can it cure? But if you allow, if you really think about the Qur'an as heart penetrating advice, and you listen to Allah's words and you let them make a way into your heart, then the next step necessarily will be Allah will start curing whatever is in your hearts.
Now, what is in our hearts? For these people, the worst kind of shirk. But there are other things in people's hearts. There's jealousy, there's anger, there's depression, there's sadness, there's rage issues. There's a mother-in-law who can't stand her daughter-in-law. There's a wife who can't stand her husband's mom or her family or her sisters or his face.
Right? People got all kinds of issues. And it burns them up inside. There's a father who hates, who can't stand how much his son disappoints him. Every time he sees him loafing around, it just burns up inside. It's eating away at him. There are people that have all kinds of things inside their heart.
And if you have those kinds of feelings inside your heart, you're not at peace. You're just not at peace. Qur'an comes and goes inside your heart and starts curing everything in there.
The Journey from Healing to Guidance
Starts putting you at rest. So he says (وَهُدًى). What would that mean? After your heart is at rest, after it's been cured, now it's guidance. After that, it's guidance. Now that your heart is at rest, now it's ready to take in directions. Here's what you do.
By the way, this is what a physician does. First, he gives the medicine. Then the medicine takes its effect. Then the physician, the doctor, gives you instructions. Now do this. So you don't become sick again. You ever get that? At the end of the procedure, he says, now you need to be on this diet for this many days, this time.
This is guidance. And if you take that guidance, you will eventually be permanently cured. And if you're cured, you make it all the way, you should be congratulated.
So he says وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ . How beautiful is that? Guidance and congratulations. You remember the ayah began يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ people. And then there was this journey between people and the Qur'an.
A lot of people will not accept that journey. Very few will. Very few people will allow the Qur'an to enter into their hearts and let it heal. And they will take its guidance. And then eventually be qualified for that congratulations. May Allah congratulate all of us on Judgment Day. May Allah make us all worthy of that congratulations. But those who make it towards the end are not all people. They are just the believers.
So he says لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ . It started with people and ended just with believers. Not everybody will benefit from this awesome, awesome counsel that has come from Allah.
Allah's Special Favor Upon Humanity
Now I mentioned this to you as something that the mushrikun, when they heard Qur'an, they were disturbed by it. They didn't like it. They thought it was too harsh. And Allah is saying, no, this is for you. This is a cure for you. I've sent you a gift. I've sent you something awesome.
And I've chosen you people over all other people to give this advice. You should be grateful. You should celebrate.
And this was Allah talking to the mushrikun. I say this because today we're in a time where Muslims, Muslims have a distant relationship with the Qur'an. And whenever they think of the Qur'an, they think of this is haram, that's haram, can't do this, can't do that, it's too harsh, it's too extreme, it's too difficult.
That's what the Qur'an is all about. Even if they've never even read the book, they have certain opinions about the Qur'an. All this garbage that you hear about the Qur'an in the media all the time, it's like, you know, it pollutes your mind too.
So even if subconsciously you hear the word Qur'an, immediately the things that come in your head are fighting, you know, halal and haram, and polygamy, and you know, unfair inheritance laws, etc. This is what comes in your head, a Muslim's head. The first thing that doesn't even come into a Muslim's head is this is really beautiful, heart penetrating advice that Allah gave me.
That is supposed to cure me, it's there to help me, and it's supposed to guide me. And if I follow it, I will be worthy of congratulations. That is not how a Muslim thinks anymore.
This was something Allah wasn't even saying to the Muslim because it's understood for the Muslim. This is what Allah was saying to all of humanity, you guys need to get what this Qur'an really is. We are in the tragic times where the Muslim doesn't even know what the Qur'an really is.
Where the Muslim doesn't even know that this is maw'idah, and this is shifa. We don't know. Our relationship with the Qur'an has become corrupt.
Becoming Ambassadors of the Quran
How can we become ambassadors of this book if we haven't tasted its beauty ourselves? If we haven't tasted its healing ourselves? What are we gonna share with other people? What are we gonna share with other people? And how much do we really appreciate this gift of Allah, this Qur'an that we have?
Allah says in the next ayah, and keep in mind, this was for the few who take this full guidance, Allah says,
. Then you tell them, the Prophet. The previous ayah was يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ . Allah addressed people Himself. In the next ayah, it is as though Allah is angry with the people, so He doesn't even address them Himself. He tells His Prophet to address them.
I'm not gonna talk to them anymore. They didn't appreciate my Qur'an. You go talk to them now. You tell them. And what should you tell them?
. It is by the extra preference and favor of Allah. You Arabs, you mushrikun of Arabia that were worshiping idols, that desecrated the memory of Ibrahim (عليه السلام), you think you deserve the final word of Allah? This is my special favor upon you.
You should be grateful instead of disbelieving in this Messenger. Where do you get off having this attitude of insulting my Messenger and disregarding this book? This is by the special favor of Allah. And the bigger gift Allah gives, the more angry He gets if you don't appreciate it.
That makes sense, right? If Allah gives you a really big gift and you don't appreciate it, He has the right to be all the more angry.
The Example of Isa and the Table Spread
With Isa (عليه السلام), his followers asked for a miracle. They asked for a table spread from the sky. And Isa (عليه السلام) was terrified. Like, oh, what are you asking for guys?
Why are you asking for a table spread from the sky? This is how our hearts will become tranquil. We'll be satisfied that we're doing the right thing.
We'll have real iman if we see it coming from Allah. So Allah says,
I'll send it on you. No problem, I'll send it to you.
But watch this. If you're still ungrateful after this, if you still disbelieve after this
. Then I will punish him with a punishment. I swear to it, no doubt about it that I have never punished anyone with, ever.
If they are ungrateful to my favor. Do you think the table spread from the sky is a bigger favor? Or the Qur'an is a bigger favor? You think about that. You think about what's the bigger favor.
And when someone's ungrateful to that favor, where do they stand? And the fact that Allah didn't obliterate. 10 years will go by and the Meccans will still be there and Allah has not annihilated them. He
has allowed them to survive all this time.
That is a mercy of Allah or no? It is. So He says
. It is by His mercy especially. It is not just a favor of Allah and a mercy to the believers. It's even a favor of Allah and a mercy to disbelievers who continue to disbelieve and Allah still gives them an opportunity. You listen to it, you better get your act together. I can appreciate that.
The Teacher-Student Analogy
It makes you appreciate Allah's mercy differently when you look at it from the point of view of a teacher. You know when I teach, I give a speech here. I'm not teaching, I'm just talking. I can speak to you for 25 minutes, I'll leave. There's no real interaction between us except for maybe a little bit of questions and answers. That's it.
Or you know some of you trying to embarrass their children, bring your children up to me and say, Brother, can you touch his head? He's really messed up. This is one of those things. Other than that, we don't really have an interaction.
And you know, thank you for humiliating your teenage kids like that. I find it very enjoyable and entertaining. So please do that at the end of the program. Okay, so... But we don't really have a student- teacher kind of relationship.
When you're sitting in a class, you're exhausting yourself trying to make a student understand something. You repeat it. You ask the student to repeat it. Then you repeat it again. And the student repeats it again. Then you say, did you understand? And he says, yes. And at the end of it all, he says, I don't get it. Does the teacher get upset or no? Okay.
My patient teacher says, you know what? No. Let's start over again. Another two hours, I'll explain it to you all over again. And at the end of it, the student says, I don't get it. What are you talking about again? One of my favorite questions. I was in a conference.
Myself and a friend were giving a speech and QA came in. And thank God that wasn't a question for me, but I took a picture of it. I collect them. They're called epic questions. Right? So this was an epic question. I took a picture of it.
You know what it said? Brother Shaykh, what are you talking about? So good. But the teacher's patients will eventually run out. If the teacher is teaching the same lesson one day, the next day, the third day, the fourth day, he says, okay, student, if you don't get it this way, I'll explain it this way.
If you don't get it this way, I'll explain it another way. Then another way. Then another way. Same student, same lesson, over and over and over again, from a hundred different angles. And at the end of ten years, the student still says, I don't get it. Does the teacher have a right to get angry?
Allah continues to reveal Qur'an. The Meccan Qur'an is all about iman. It's not hundreds of lessons. It's a core fundamental lesson. Accept Allah as master and accept yourself as slave. Accept this man as a messenger, (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). It's simple, direct, straightforward education.
And yet, when the students refuse to listen, these students, by the way, this final revelation is such an honor. All the nations of the world. There are so many nations, so many people of the world that could have been chosen. Allah chose these people. And they don't appreciate it? That is a favor of Allah that He didn't destroy you. That He didn't just completely finish you off.
Our Honor as People of the Quran
And those who didn't believe in it and enjoy its blessings, they should be overjoyed. Those who come to appreciate, they should be so happy that Allah chose us for His final message. Allah made you and me now come to us, not just the Arabs.
You and me, members of the ummah of the final messenger, (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). He made us Ahlul Qur'an. He made us people of the Qur'an. That's a huge honor. We should be overjoyed about that. We should be over excited about that.
What a huge gift Allah gave us.
It is better than everything else they are gathering. It's so beautiful.
Allah didn't say خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ It's better than their money. He said, it's better than what they are gathering. Because you know, people have different kinds of hobbies and loves.
Some people love gathering money. Other people love gathering movies. Other people love gathering Facebook friends. Other people love gathering contacts in their own book. People love gathering pictures. People gather weird things like action figures.
Right? Back in the day, baseball cards and the 1800's Pokemon cards. People gather different things. When you collect something, you go back to your collection over and over again.
Some of you gather shoes and clothes and all kinds of stuff. And you go back and check out your collection. You go through it and it needs additions. But you go back and check it again. Allah says, it's better than everything else you are obsessed with. That's one of the meanings of the ayah.
All this other stuff you are obsessed with and you keep collecting, this Qur'an is better. Who says, I memorized the surah, I gathered a little more Qur'an? I just understood one more ayah, I gathered a little more Qur'an. I just learned to recite one, two, three ayahs with a little better Tajweed.
I gathered a little more Qur'an. A little bit more of a treasure is now inside my heart. Who thinks like that?
Don't Make Up Your Own Halal and Haram
And at the end of all of that, then the next ayahs are about how dare you pick halal and haram for yourself. What's the first thing we think of when Allah talks about Qur'an? Halal and haram. Not advice, not counsel, not a gift, not a treasure, not an honor. We just think halal and haram.
Allah first says, first appreciate this is a gift. And you should be so happy that you got this gift. And at the end of all of that, He says
Did Allah give you permission to say, this is halal and that's haram? Or did you get that from Allah? Don't be making stuff up yourself.
Don't make that up yourself. This is the... Qur'an is very straightforward in what it wants from people. What it wants from us and what it wants from humanity.
Let the Quran Speak for Itself
We don't have to water down the message of the Qur'an. We just have to share the Qur'an itself. We don't have to talk... we have to stop talking about the Qur'an. We just need to talk the Qur'an itself. We need to get indoctrinated into Allah's speech. It needs to become our speech.
It needs to become the way we talk and the way we think. There's a certain attitude Allah wants to instill inside the believer. There's a certain joy the believer needs to have that he or she is a member, a believer in this final word.
There's a joy that we need to have. And when we have that, wallahi, sharing this message, you can't even help yourself you're sharing it. You can't even help yourself.
You know when there's some really good news you have? You don't keep it to yourself. When you got a hundred on your test, that's not even a huge news, it's a small news. You got a hundred on your test, you can't keep your mouth to yourself.
You know what I got? A hundred. You can't keep it to yourself. Somebody's about to get married, you got the good news. I won't say a word but I'll text you. When someone appreciates the joy, when they really enjoy, taste what an amazing gift Allah has given, then just out of that joy you want to share with others. Look at this beautiful treasure Allah has given me.
And the more I share it with others, it just increases me too. Instead of taking it away from me. I want you to appreciate what I've come to appreciate. I want you to enjoy what I've come to enjoy. I want you to have the happiness that Allah has given me because of this book. This is the Qur'an speaking.
This is the Qur'an introducing itself. There are so many trying to introduce the Qur'an to us. The Qur'an, right? And its Sharia laws. That are so anti-western and anti-democratic and anti-humanitarian. This is
other people speaking on behalf of Allah's book يُكَذِّبُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللهِ. They are lying against the ayaat of Allah.
They're making lies against the ayaat of Allah. Allah dealt with this issue already in the Qur'an. It's our job to let the Qur'an speak.
Our Responsibility to Deliver the Message
The Qur'an won't speak itself. Allah gave this job to an ummah. He gave this job to a messenger to deliver. Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And this messenger turned around and looked, basically looked at all of our ancestors and said:
(Bukhari hadith 3461)
"Convey from me even if it is one verse, and let the one who is present convey to the one who is absent."
Even if it's one ayah. What are we gonna get across to people if we haven't experienced it ourselves? And I tell you it's not just about giving pamphlets to people. There's a last thing I'm sharing with you guys.
It's not about pamphlets and YouTube videos. It's not about just giving people flyers and stuff. It's not about that.
We have to start living and tasting this book. When people see we think a different way, we live a different way, we talk a different way, we just do business a different way. We're just different people.
The Qur'an will speak in our character too. And then people will come and ask and we'll have something to tell them. And what we tell them we don't have to come up with. Allah speaks more eloquently than you and I can. We just have to share with them what He said.
May Allah (عز وجل) make us a people that represent His book. May Allah (عز وجل) make us a people that this book will be a case in our favor on Judgment Day and not a case against us on Judgment Day. May Allah protect us from being of those against whom the Prophet complains on Judgment Day. When he says:
"And the Messenger will say: O my Lord! Indeed, my people took this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."
When the Messenger says on that day, my nation of mine, they abandoned the Qur'an. They left it abandoned. May Allah not make us from the people that the Messenger complains about like that. May Allah make us all qualified for the correct shafa'ah of the Messenger.
True Shafa'ah versus False Shafa'ah
That's the last thing I wanted to share with you, right? False shafa'ah and correct shafa'ah. It's a good thing I remembered. At least to be clarified.
The false shafa'ah is you should feel safe. You should feel safe. The Messenger or whoever is in between will take care of your problems.
The correct shafa'ah is you better follow the way of the Prophet to qualify for him to make a case for you. If you don't do what he's asking you to do, he comes to you straight and says, look, you're answerable to Allah and if you don't do your part, not only are you in trouble with Allah, you're also in trouble with me. And I'll get you in more trouble with Allah.
That's correct shafa'ah. I'll get you in more trouble with Allah. I'll testify against you. I'll be forced to. I don't even have a choice. The Prophet didn't even have a choice in this matter.
He doesn't want to testify against us. Allah will make him do it. Allah will make him do it. The ayah when it was recited to him, he said, just hasbub, just stop reciting, I can't take anymore. He was so overwhelmed by the fact that he has to testify against Muslims who don't do their job. That's correct shafa'ah.
The Prophet's Warning to His Own Daughter
So much so, and I'll leave you with this, just think about this. He turns to his daughter رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهَا I mean, he loves everyone in this ummah, but a father's love for a daughter is something else. It's something else. It's something special.
(Bukhari hadith 2753)
"O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, fear Allah for I do not possess anything for you from Allah."
He says, Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, protect yourself from making Allah unhappy. Because I have no authority, I will have no authority, no doubt about it, not even for you. I won't even have authority for you. You should have taqwa of Allah for yourself.
She can't even say, I got connections. She can't even say that. رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهَا
Where do we stand? May Allah (عز وجل) make us worthy of the noble shafa'ah of His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم. May Allah (عز وجل) make us a unified ummah that unifies itself sheerly out of the love of the Qur'an and the love of the legacy of His beloved Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Closing
"May Allah bless me and you in the Wise Qur'an and benefit me and you with the verses and the wise remembrance."
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
