Signs of Qiyamah (The Last Hour)

I would say more than that, Brother Bilal. Currently, Brother Bilal is a school teacher and he continues to do our work in Australia and abroad.

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, I give you Brother Bilal. And his topic is science of Qiyam, Inshallah.

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.

Brothers and sisters in Islam, Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. My topic is the science of the last hour. I would like to begin with a verse in the Quran.

Opening: A Powerful Quranic Verse

I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.

"Their reckoning has come near to the people, and they are in a state of heedlessness, turning away. No reminder comes to them from their Lord, except that they listen and play. Your hearts are in a state of heedlessness. And those who are unjust have kept their secret. Will you be recompensed except for what you used to do?" (Quran 21:1-3)

While the people are unaware, and turning away from this remembrance. Not a single sign or reminder that comes from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that is new, except that they listen to it while they are playing, too distracted with the entertainment of the world. Their hearts are too busy.

And this oppression which certain people are doing, in fact the majority, Allah says they keep it hidden inside their hearts and chests. So they don't tell you the truth about it. They know it, that their hearts are in loss, that their hearts are asleep, that they are busy in entertainment.

Will man receive anything but what they used to do in their actions in this world?

Brothers and sisters in Islam, this is a tremendous ayah from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that speaks to the people 14 centuries ago and continues to speak to us now. And will continue to speak to whatever time is left of this world to come. And I assure you that it is a very small time. It's not a long time at all.

The Two Meanings of the Last Hour

Allah tells us that no single new reminder from Allah that comes to him to the people, except that they listen to it while their hearts are busy. The scholars say that this means two things: They were the hadiths of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that came to the people after the Quran was revealed to them. So the Quran was revealed, what else comes? The hadiths. So the people just listened to the Quran and then started to ignore the hadiths.

The ulema also said this continues that Allah continues to bring forth reminders to us. You connect it back to the beginning of the ayah that the time of accountability has come very close for the people. There's not far to go. Only a short time before the day of judgement arrives. A short time before the world ends. And you will return to be held accountable for what you put forth.

The ayah says anything new meaning of the future signs. Anything that Allah brings again and again till the end of time. And here the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was approached by a man one day after hearing all these signs that are going to come about the end of time. And he was so intrigued about when the world was ending that he comes up to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and asks him: When will this last hour occur? When is it going to happen?

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied to him with a question for him to ponder about. And I think it's for all of us as well. He said: That's the serious question we should be asking. So some people are indulged about when the world will end and forget whether they have prepared for when it ends or not.

The wisdom of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, deep wisdom. They hid when this hour will be. We don't know when it will be. If people knew when it will be, they will wait until the time comes.

There are two meanings to the last hour, brothers and sisters:

1. The End of the Universe - When the world will end

2. The End of a Person's Life - Our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Whoever dies, then his or her last hour has already happened"

Either of these, they all have signs. And I think it was Umar ibn Khattab who used to say, why do you say that Allah doesn't give you signs before your death? He said, your old age is a sign. The white hairs are a sign. Your weakness is a sign. All of these are signs.

And Allah gives us signs in the universe that the last hour is coming very near as well.

The Hadith of Jibreel

There is a hadith in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim we say agree upon, which happened one time among a large number of the Prophet's companions. And they were sitting in Masjid Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. A man entered.

This hadith is narrated by Umar ibn Khattab Abi Hass, may Allah be pleased with him. He said: We were sitting with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم when suddenly, in the daytime, in the Masjid, a man came in. He had very dark black hair and he had very white clothing. There were no signs of him to have been travelled. And no one of us in the community knew who he was.

You didn't travel in those days in aeroplanes and cars, so it was very easy to tell if somebody was from another country or from another town because you could see that their clothes would get dust on them and dirty. Their hair would be everywhere.

He said it looked like he just went and had a shower and wore his beautiful clothing. Just popped out of, you know, about to go to a wedding. And his hair was dark black. There wasn't a single sign on it. And none of us knew who he was.

And he approached the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and he sat in front of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم on his knees. And the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was also on his knees. And he said he put, or he let his two knees touch with the two knees of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Then he said and he placed his palms on his knees to indicate that he had absolute respect for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم And he's causing the attention of the people to listen very carefully. I wonder what this man is going to say.

He said: And he said we know that. Then he asked him. He said to him: You have spoken the truth.

We were so amazed. How come he was asking him questions and yet he will say that he told the truth. You know, a person is asking a question, he wants to know. He's not the person to judge whether you said the truth or not. As though the man knew what the answer was. As though he's testing the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم or doing something. We were amused. How come he's asking him and then saying that you've spoken the truth?

Then he asked him what is Iman. And he told him the six pillars of Iman. Then he said to him: You have spoken the truth.

Then he asked him what is Ihsan. And then he told him to worship Allah as if you can see him. But although you cannot see him, you know that he sees you. He said: You have spoken the truth.

And then finally he said: When is the last hour? When is the world going to end?

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: The one you are asking does not know any better than the one who is asking him. In other words, neither I nor you know. And I and you know exactly the same, which is we don't know.

The Signs of the Last Hour

So then he said: Then can you tell me about its signs? About its signs?

And he said to him:

"When the woman will give birth to its master."

And you will see those who are poor and destitute, meaning in history they have always been known to be poor, destitute nomads. Meaning they have no place to live. Normally they were known as the Bedouins, the desert people. They are shepherds, always following and looking after their sheep. This is what they have done throughout history and through their ancestors times.

You will see these types of people building skyscrapers, very high buildings in the sky, which means advancement, extreme advancement in technology. How could this be? Complete and utter contradiction to what the Sahabas knew in those days.

Then the man said: Sadat, you have spoken the truth. Then he got up and left.

Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم turned to us and he said: Do you know who this was? They said Allah and his messenger know best. He said: That was Jibreel عليه السلام. He had come to teach you the matters of your religion. (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)

Allahu Akbar, why don't you listen for a minute? Pay attention. An angel has to come down from the heavens in the form of a man so that everyone will see him, see an angel, to talk about these four matters:

• Your Islam in its pillars
• Your Iman in its pillars
• Ihsan in its pillars
• And the signs of the last hour

All of these are essential knowledge. Very, very, very important for us. Without them we won't enter paradise if you don't know them and practice them.

Interpretation of the First Sign

What does it mean that a woman or a mother, an ama, will give birth to a child who will become her master?

And he used a feminine term. The ulama responded in different interpretations. And if you were to look at all the interpretations, you will find that all of them are correct anyway, whichever interpretation you go with.

They said an ama meaning the woman who is normally a slave, because ama is also used for a woman who is a slave. They used to have slave women in those days. And an ama when she gave birth to a child, the child could not belong to her. So the master took that child and the child became the master of the slave woman because she belongs to her master. That time will come when this happens. And this has happened.

But the ulama agree more on the line of, the more correct opinion is this: He said when the mother, any mother, gives birth to her child, and this child whether it be a girl or a boy will grow up and begin to have boast with arrogance and pridefulness against their own mother.

Now the mother is a weak being. The mother is one of comfort and mercy and kindness and leniency. The father is known as a strong figure. But Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم is saying as if he is saying children will be born with the oppressive nature. And the first people they will attack is the weakest one who cares for them the most. They are their mothers.

Very self-centered. Cannot think beyond their own interests. Mothers who make rules in the house when their father is away. The children grow up and become teenagers and they don't want to follow any rules. Dad's not around, mum can't do anything. I'm not going to listen. What's she going to do? She's just mum. She will be called names. Old cheese. Yes, these are names we heard. Old woman. They won't respect the rules except the rules that serve their interests.

Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم is telling us that this time will come because it's a complete contradiction. Not even the non-Muslims in those days would do such a thing. It was unheard. Unheard. And this is the time we live in today in its extremities.

The Bedouins Building Skyscrapers

And you will see the poor, destitute shepherds, Bedouins, desert people, building high skyscrapers. And we see it. Where do we see it? In which two countries is that pop in our head first and foremost? Dubai? The Emirates? No? Saudi Arabia maybe? That's exactly it, subhanallah.

But this sign doesn't mean there is something bad about the Bedouins. You see, when we hear signs, it doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. Some of these Bedouins are great people. They are great Muslims, they are great leaders. Just because they build high skyscrapers, it means they are advancing in technology. But it is the sign that is unheard of for thousands and thousands of years until that day comes.

The Proximity of the Last Hour

Brothers and sisters in Islam, Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) once stood up and did this with his fingers. His middle finger is taller than the index finger, isn't it? Just a little bit. So Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: Between I and the last hour is like the difference between these two fingers.

So imagine this is the whole world and this is just what is left with my middle finger. And the index finger is the death of Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) Analogous to that. He said: The first sign of the closeness of the hour is my death.

Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) how long has that been now? 1400, about 1400 years or so. So what is left for us?

You know what ulama are saying? A majority of them, now they're on the increase, they're saying: We think that if not all of them, maybe 99% of all the minor signs that Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) told us about have now happened. Have now happened.

Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) just to give you very quick ones about these minor signs. And these minor signs have happened, some of them are happening now, some of them will continue to happen, and some of the minor signs continue to happen even at the end, at the end of all the major signs. I'll tell you about them.

Minor Signs of the Last Hour

Children Favoring Friends Over Parents

Some of the interesting minor signs are this: Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) told us when the son, meaning the boy, the son brings his friend closer and his father further. So he favors his friends before his father.

Loss of Trust

When trust is given to the people who are not qualified for it. We live in that time today.

Widespread Ignorance

When ignorance becomes widespread. They said, Ya Rasulullah, how will the ignorance of our deen become widespread? He said: Not because of his scholars, but because of the death of the scholars in large numbers. Our great scholars now that we hear of, I know in here the ones who were before.

And Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: Every generation that passes will be worse off in morality, meaning immoral, in ignorance than the ones that were before them. And it will keep getting worse.

Widespread Killing

They said, Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said when there will be much killing, al-harj. They said, what is harj Ya Rasulullah? It's such a word of intensity. He said: Killing, killing, killing like a drink of water. Killing, killing, killing.

Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) added to that, he said: The person who was killed doesn't know for what reason they were killed. And the one who killed does not know for what reason they are killing.

Wallahi, these are the exact words of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam). You can read this hadith in Sahih Muslim under a door or a topic called al-ashraa, al-ashraat, or al-fitama ashraat, ashraat al-sa'a.

Men and Women Imitating Each Other

Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) told us there is another hadith which is in Tirmidhi that the men and women will imitate one another. And Allah says in the Quran: Let not the men or the women, the male or female, wish to be the other gender. For Allah has given each one their qualities that befit them. And each one has their favours and their superiority over the other in balance.

But a time will come when the man will wish to be a woman and a woman will wish to be a man. When the men imitate women, women imitate men. This is also among the hadiths of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

Loss of Amanah (Trust)

He also said (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) when amanah, meaning trust, is lost between people. A father cannot trust his son. A mother cannot trust her daughter. The children cannot trust their parents. Friends cannot trust each other. Absolute no trust.

Hastening of Time

(صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) he said when time becomes very close, as though there is no more blessing in time. It's the fast life. And this reminds me of an ayah in the Quran which Allah sends shivers down my spine. Allah talks about the hastening of time when it doesn't have any barakah.

The Greatest Fear: Running After Dunya

"Whoever wants this fast life, we'll give him this fast life very quickly as much as we want. And then after that we'll make hell fire which he will be imprisoned in it, humiliated and disgraced." (Quran 17:18)

The quickening of time with no blessing is a negative thing.

Close Marketing and Trade

He also said when marketing becomes very close to each other. Marketing which means people can buy things and shop and market very quickly in an instant. Today you can go on the internet and buy a house in America within a few moments. You can buy an island if you've got the money for it by sitting on your couch at home in your pajamas. Yes.

So people can buy anything, do anything because they are so close. Buying, selling, buying, buying. And also it means that marketing and business becomes the main focus of people, the main focus. This is in this hadith.

Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: It is not that shirk will infest inside of my ummah which I fear. For Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has brought tawheed into this country, meaning Mecca and Medina. And I do not fear, meaning he's depressed, he's given up hope of ever making you make partners with Allah.

He goes, but what I fear upon you, the greatest fear is what? Can anyone try and guess what the greatest fear Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) fears upon is what? Running after dunya? Yes, very good. Usually people tell me women, but greater than that is running after dunya. That's correct.

Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: I do not fear anything more than dunya, than the dunya entering your hearts. He used the word meaning it becomes wild. It races after you like a ferocious beast and you race after it. And then you will compete for it the same way the people before you also fought for it.

أَتَهْلَكَهُمْ كَمَا أَهْلَكَتْهُمْ فَتُهْلِكُكُمْ

"Until it will destroy you as a nation just as it destroyed them as nations."

Division, disunity, killing one another, fighting one another. Wallahi, we hear of cases where children cannot wait for their parents to die to inherit the money. And then after that they don't like the inheritance laws which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has put forth.

Before oppressing one another, this brother, his father, his parents died and he had no children but he had a sister, a full sister and a wife. Then he died. And Allah says in the Quran in inheritance laws that the wife, she

gets a third and the full sister, she's the only one gets three quarters. Would you believe that? The wife hid the amount in order to take more and keep it away from the sister.

Now what I'm trying to say is my opinion and your opinion are one thing, but what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says is another. People will run after this dunya to the point where they will break Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala laws and they will do everything in order to what? To earn a few pennies.

There are people when they die and the brothers and sisters get together, they begin to fight over the inheritance and they begin to hide the estimations until every person gets wrong portions. The way we fight each other about the dunya, we get into a partnership over a house or a business. And then one day over something that was miscalculated, we will no longer talk to each other.

This man and his friend went into a business and they trusted each other, true story. Until they gave one of them her son, the other one had a daughter and they got married to each other. They loved each other so much until one day the business deal broke apart. They each departed from each other and they ordered their children to divorce each other until the love became empathy in its place. Why?

The Hadith About the Nations Gathering

Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) he told us that the nations will call each other like beasts calling to a beast against you. They said why Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) are we such a small amount on that day?

Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: No, you are many, many, more than one point something billion. But you will be like the foam that exists on top of the traveling river. If you've ever noticed, if you've ever gone to very cold places, I saw it in Ireland when I went there and I saw it when it was snowing. The river flowing and on top you can see all the bubbles. And these bubbles look dusty because they carry a lot of dirt in them. So it's like the same.

They said why Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam),why are we like that, filled with air and dirty and just insignificant residue?

He said: Because your hearts were filled with... They said what is Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam)

And he said: The love of the dunya will replace your hearts with meeting Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through death. Meaning you will no longer strive and struggle to protect one another or protect your deen or think about one another or support one another, support the oppressed. You will all divide from each other and no one cares about except about himself.

The problem overseas is their problem. I'm here in Australia. The problem of interstate is their problem. I'm here in Melbourne. The problem in the next suburb is their problem. I live in Marra Heights. The problem of my, you know, neighbor is his problem. I live in this house. The problem of my, you know, brother or sister who lives in here is their problem. I am myself, I am my own family. Then the problem of my children is their problem. Then the problem of my wife is her problem. At the end of the day it's me and only me.

The Fall of the Khilafah

Al-Khilafah has gone. The system has gone. We are exchanged from, we have now turned from one full nation under one flag with no difference because of our colour or because of our race. We were one ummah called the Muslim ummah. Now we are many countries, many flags, many colours. And we base our pride upon our flags, upon where we come from, the particular country or the soil that we lived in.

Based on what? Based on the division which Europe placed us in and divided us in after World War I when they finally defeated the Khilafah, the Ottoman Empire. And they called it a Turkish Empire. So now in our heads even the Muslims were here, the Turkish Empire, al-Khilafah, the Ottoman Empire, meaning the Khilafah of Islam. And so we are entrenched with that.

Then they filled us with sports. Sports is excellent, but the way the sports has become is a severe, strenuous, serious competition. And the World War Cup when it comes in, people kill each other based on flags and nationalism because of a ball. See how much they put nationalism into our hearts when Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) told us exactly about that.

The Hadith About Palestine

Then comes this beautiful, this amazing hadith from Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam). He said: I can see the day how your state will be when you will be on the East Bank and the Jewish people will be on the West Bank. And between you which divides you is a river of Jordan.

The narrator of this hadith, he says: Oh Allah, I did not know what Jordan is, because in those days there was no such thing as Jordan. And this is one of the hadiths which tells us that Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) truly spoke from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala delivering the message through an angel.

A day will come and the Jews in those days had no place. There were no banks. The Jews will be occupying Palestine and the Muslims on another bank. Between them there is a division, a wall near Jordan on its river.

The narration, the hadith, he says, Oh Allah, I do not know which river it is and I do not know where Jordan is because there is no such name. And how can the Jews be occupying and you Muslims be in that state? This was unheard of.

When Rasul (صلى الله عليه وسلم - sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said this hadith, they had just exiled the Jews out of the Banu Nadiyah and Banu Qaynuqar. And Banu Qurayza had just been exterminated. And he says the Jews will be there in the heart of Al-Quds.

This is our state today. Why? The division of the Ummah, the separation of us and the inclination towards the dunya until we compete for it.

The Hadith About Iraq, Al-Sham, and Egypt

Then there comes another hadith. Rasul ﷺ tells us one of those times is this: When Iraq, he said, how will your state be when Iraq no longer or takes away its currency and its measurements? It is always known upon. And when al-Sham (anyone know al-Sham? Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, what else? Part of Turkey, part of Turkey as well).

This is al-Sham. We just know it in names right now. It says when al-Sham also denies its currency and its measurements. And when Misr, Egypt, also denies its currency and measurements.

The ulema say, meaning there are several meanings to it, but one agreeable meaning that makes sense is that they said when Iraq, al-Sham, and Egypt no longer deal with their currency and measurements they've always been dealing with under Islamic rule, and the people who used to be there paying jizya, the non-Muslims paying jizya will no longer pay them because it will be exchanged with the Romans and the Europeans or foreign exchange rates, foreign occupancy, foreign policies.

And this is the state of Iraq, the state of al-Sham now, and the state of Egypt. What is governing them are the things which no longer exist which had existed for over a thousand years under the Islamic empire.

The Major Signs Begin

Then Rasul ﷺ said he began with more minor signs, but I'll cut them short inshallah to the last major signs. Rasulullah ﷺ told us that there will be ten major signs, he counted them. And we don't know them in order, but Allah Almighty and the ulema put them in this type of order.

The Great War

They said just before the first major sign, there will be the appearance of the greatest war that ever existed. Rasul ﷺ the Great War, when 80 flags will gather against this ummah. 80 nations will gather against this ummah.

And the way they will gather, brothers and sisters, is not necessarily with weapons first, but with their doctrine, indoctrination of the mind and the heart. And we're living that time now.

As though Rasul ﷺ is saying that they are preparing for the coming of the deceiving lion, because the deceiver means the liar, the deceiver. And in order for him to come out, you have to have a world living in lies and deception for his coming out to be convincing to the people to follow him. Isn't that right? The preparation of Dajjal in the making.

After the fall of the Khilafah until now, almost 100 years. Well, moving on to that, the Dajjal's presence is being prepared. And these nations will gather against you. And you will fight them until the greatest death in history has ever occurred.

Rasul ﷺ said: You will see the flying object in the sky fall from the sky. The birds will fall. Some ulama say chemical war. A third of this army will run away, Allah will never forgive them. A third will fight to death. And a third will be victorious.

He said but no one will be happy with any beauty of war and no one will be happy with any inheritance. They said why Rasulallah? He said the war was so intense that a family of 100 will find that only one of them is still alive and 99 are dead. So with what wealth and what inheritance is he to rejoice? Meaning there will be a great struggle coming very soon.

Imam Al-Mahdi

Then he said Imam Al-Mahdi, the anointed man will come out to lead this ummah back into justice just as it was filled with injustice. And he said the Mahdi will be Imam Muhammad, the son of Abdullah. And he will exit out from Mecca. And Allah will make him righteous and prepared for his leadership in the night and day.

This man, Al-Mahdi, will come out, listen carefully. Rasulullah said: While the world of the Arabs is filled with oppression, and he will fill it with justice just as it was filled with oppression.

The only people that will be left before he comes that have any hope are these people. Rasulullah called Al-Firqa Najia, or the successful, or the saved group. And he said: There will always remain a group of my ummah standing firm on truth. No falsehood and no enmity and no corruption can stop them from their good deeds and from their work. They are everywhere dispersed around the world.

You have to work towards the way Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told you to stand firm whether goodly has come or they don't come. Whether our state and our land is fixed right now or not, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is sifting. When the Imam Al-Mahdi comes out, these ones whom he has sifted will automatically follow him.

He will fight the people in the land of the Arabian Peninsula. They are Muslims, they will come to fight. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will make the earth swallow them. They said, Ya Rasulullah, what about among them who are confused? Because he said there will come a time when there will be confusion:

A time when there will be, he said, light black clouds above you and fitan falling upon you like rain upon houses. He said a person will be so confused that in the morning he is a Muslim and by the night he is a kafir, and by the night he is a Muslim and by the morning he is a kafir. They sell their religion for a little bit of gain from this dunya. And their leaders will lead them astray and imams will lead them astray. He told us about this time.

They said, Ya Rasulullah, what about these people who are confused in this army that will die? He said they will be raised on their intention. So there is some hope.

But Rasulullah ﷺ also said: Then he will turn to fight the Persians and he will beat them. Then he will fight the Romans. And some say these 80 nations would be the Romans as well with the Imam Mahdi leading them. Just after that, at the end of it, the real major signs appear. Some say the Mahdi is a major sign, but Allah will allow him.

The Appearance of the Dajjal

The shaitan comes out and says: Go back to your families for a Dajjal has come out. We run back to our homeland and we find that a Dajjal was false. There was no Dajjal. Only later on to find that a Dajjal does appear.

A Dajjal is a man who is a lie. Rasulullah ﷺ describes him in his speeches. For the shortness of time, you can read about him in Sahih Muslim or Bukhari. And he will come out at a time when he is ready for the people to accept him with his lies. When his lies seem the truth and the truth seems like it's a lie.

And there is a hadith from Rasulullah ﷺ: A truthful person will be said he or she is a lie. And the lying person will be believed. This is the time we live in today.

And he will tell the people: I am Isa, I am Isa Al-Masih. Rasulullah ﷺ says no he is Isa Al-Masih. Sorry, he says he is Al-Masih. Al-Masih means the one eyed or the person who has an eye that looks like it's been wiped away.

He will tell the people: I'm Jesus, Son of Mary. He will see with one eye and one of his eyes meaning the right eye that will look like it was a grape with juice sucked out of it. He has coarse hair. And a believer can realize on the top of his forehead three letters. He can make them out: Disbelief, or arrogant boastful disbeliever.

Rasulullah ﷺ advised us to recite every Friday Jumu'ah Surat Al-Kahf or at least the first ten verses of Surat Al-Kahf. And he says it will save you from the fitna of the Dajjal.

He says: If he comes out when I am among you, I will save you from him. But if he comes out at a time when you are there and I'm not with you, then every person to himself, for his fitna is so great.

How People Will Accept the Dajjal

Dajjal, he will not fight you with swords. He will fight you with deception and the mind. He will have certain abilities Allah gives them to him. He will be able to tell you that he can bring your parents back to life. He will say to the people: I'm your God.

Now I want you to analyze with me, how can people accept him as a God? Well you know the Christians, they're waiting for Jesus' return. And they don't have enough information about Antichrist, Dajjal, as much as we have. Rasulullah ﷺ stood up and he said: Every prophet has told people about the Dajjal, but I will tell you more than what any other prophet has not told his people about him.

So it will be easy for them to believe that he is Jesus. And then the Jews, they are still awaiting for the Messiah to come. They believe Jesus Christ, the real one, عليه السلام was an imposter. And they believe that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was also an imposter. And that they're still waiting for the Messiah. So when he comes and tells them this, some of them say the first among them will be the Jews to follow him based on their belief system.

Then they will have the world today that we live in. Yes, I know you have Christians and Jews and all that stuff and they say they believe in God. But do you know the majority of the people of the world are really now in contradiction in their hearts? They believe in God but not really.

You ask a common Christian today, for example, the Bible is contradictory. They'll say yeah we know but the Bible is just symbolic. What do you mean symbolic? When God says Trinity or Christ it's just symbolic. You gotta have some kind of faith but they're not really sure.

Atheism has become widespread in our communities. Even among the Muslims it's causing them questions in their head and they're not finding the answers. They're going to the wrong people because they sit on YouTube or the internet overnight. Subhanallah, if the shaykh will come out, it will be easy for people to accept him as a God.

And some people who are a bit skeptic, he'll say I'll return your parents back to life. Rasulullah ﷺ explains, he says the jinns will work for him and he will say to the jinns impersonate their dead parents. And they will start talking to them. And so the people will call him the God.

Why not? People now swear at God. People now abuse God. People now say God is an idea. People today say we are the Gods. I am the God of myself they say. This is a Darwinism theory and all philosophers that came after him after the fall of the church. They started making up this idea that there is no God. And there possibly could be aliens. Would you believe that? Yeah? ET, extraterrestrial beings. No God.

What extraterrestrial means is possibly life on another planet. So when the Dajjal comes, why not? Why can't he be a God? He is the best alien that fits the ET best. So these people will follow him and will be the army of the Dajjal.

The Descent of Isa عليه السلام

Then comes Isa عليه السلام . Rasulullah ﷺ said: No one can beat the Dajjal and he will enter every place on the earth except Mecca and Medina. So stay with Tiba. Tiba is Medina and stay in Mecca. He will not be able to enter.

There is much more about the Dajjal, but the point that I want to make is the world we live in now is in preparation for him. The world of deception, the world of lies.

The only one who can defeat him is Isa عليه السلام . Allah will reveal him. He will come down from the heaven, meaning the sky, the aboveness. Not paradise, heaven. Sky, the aboveness. Whatever is above you and high is

called heaven in Arabic. So he will come down from, from where? With two angels, he will be wearing two garments.

As it is described, they are white. And his hair is long with a beard that looks like as though water is dripping from it. His face is white. He says as if I can see him with red cheekbones, red cheeks.

And he will come to the people, the Muslims who are with Imam al-Mahdi. Where? He said in the masjid of the Minar al-Baytah with the white minaret in Damascus, in Damascus, in Syria.

And he will enter. Imam al-Mahdi will be trying to pray Salat al-Dhuhr, I think, or Salat al-Asr, I can't remember which one. And Imam al-Mahdi will come. Isa عليه السلام will wipe the faces of the Muslims who are with him in there and tell them their places in Jannah.

Then Imam al-Mahdi will step back for Isa عليه السلام to pray imam. But Isa عليه السلام guess what? As in the hadith, he says to him: No, every ummah nation has its imam and you are the chosen imam of this ummah. So Isa عليه السلام prays behind him. Great thing about Imam al-Mahdi.

And then Isa عليه السلام will go with Imam al-Mahdi with the army to Jerusalem. It is there where we meet with the army of the Dajjal. As soon as the Dajjal sees Imam al-Mahdi,I mean Isa عليه السلام at the doors of al-Quds, the gates, he runs away.

Isa عليه السلام races after him with a sword. And Rasul ﷺ said specifically: A Dajjal begins to melt like wax. But Isa عليه السلام races after him and kill him so that he can bleed. Why? To prove to the people that a god cannot die. And if he was a god, then he is now dead. But if he vanished, they'll probably have that belief. So Isa عليه السلام comes with Tawheed.

A few people try to accept but ulama say that after that there is no more repentance. Shortly afterwards something tremendous happens, what is it?

The Sun Rising from the West

The sun will rise from where it sits. Allah knows if it is then or before or after that. The sun will reverse its cycle. There is scientific studies about how, what will happen to the universe. And you can read about articles and articles on the internet which wallahi intrigue me. Dozens of them talk in theories that are slowly becoming more evident that the universe could possibly reach a state of totu where it no longer expands and just stops.

Or it will over stretch like an elastic band whereby the world will rip apart the universe as we know it. Or a third possibility is that there will be something called the big crunch, as they call the big bang. The reverse cycle.

And by talking about the big crunch, some scientists, astronomers, assume that there will be a reversal cycle since there is a cycle going this way and a reversal cycle going that way. And Allah mentions in the Quran when he talks about the world ending, intriguingly adding. Allah says the mountains and the earth, rocks and soil will be lifted off the earth as the gravity is lost. Reverse cycle effect, as one scientist was commenting on this verse.

And then it will be crushed on the earth. So a reverse cycle in the universe wallahu a'ala. And maybe, maybe

this could be looked at as a study, I'm not saying, it's just one of my observations. Maybe this is one of the causes of the rotation being in the other direction wallahu a'ala.

Anyway, the sun will rise from where it sits. This is a sign that no more repentance will be accepted. Whoever is a muslim is a muslim. Whoever has not prayed has not prayed. Allah says no more repentance.

Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)

Then the Ya'juj and Ma'juj will be revealed. Ya'juj and Ma'juj are a people who were trapped at the time of Dhul Qarnayn close to the time of Musa عليه السلام or just before or just after. Their story is in Surat al-Kahf. They will be released.

How will they be released? What kind of people do they look like? It's knowledge is only to Allah. But what we do know for a fact is that there will be many many of them that we cannot overcome them. So Allah will order Isa عليه السلام and the Muslims to go to the mountains.

And the Ya'juj and Ma'juj will come out. They will corrupt the earth just for the same reason that they were trapped. And they will kill people in their sight. They will drink its waters and exhaust its resources. And then they will turn the arrows to the sky till they come back to them with blood. And they say we are building a people of the earth and the sky.

Then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will make a parasite come out of their neck from which all of them die away of an epidemic plague. Then Allah will send special birds like vultures which will carry their bodies to the oceans. And then Allah will make the clouds rain, specific rain with nutrients in it to revive the earth after their extinction, their carcasses.

The Peaceful Period with Isa عليه السلام

Then Isa عليه السلام will return back and will live. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said sometimes 10 or 40, 40 years, 10 years. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala of peace and serenity with him, with Imam Mahdi, and with Isa عليه السلام

The Final Major Signs

But then what happens? Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم says: There will be earth swallowing one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arab peninsula. Complete lands falling under the sea or under the earth and disappearing.

Then he said صلى الله عليه وسلم : Then a cloud or a smoke will fill the sky. This is also in the Qur'an. Wait until the day when the sky comes to the clear smoke. People will assume this is a terrible time. So the sky will be filled with smoke everywhere.

Then صلى الله عليه وسلم he said there will be this beast that will come out from underneath the earth. It will speak to the people and tell them their status in this world, believer and non-believer. To the point where the believer will address and say you are a non-believer. Non-believer will address the believer and say you are a believer. They will be able to identify themselves. And this beast is also mentioned in the Qur'an.

The Cool Breeze

Then Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: And then there will come out a breeze that has an element in it that only affects the believers who have Tawheed in their heart. So that there will not be a believer with an atom's worth of Tawheed who smells this breeze or breathes it except that they will die in samadhi and peace.

Why is this happening? Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Because when the world ends, the believers will be gone off the earth. Tawheed will no longer exist on earth. The Qur'an will be lifted from the earth even from the hearts of people and from the pages. So the Qur'an will no longer be on earth.

The Breaking of the Ka'bah

And finally, Allah will send, or there will be a man called, a king, Ethiopian. He has certain thin type of shins. And he will come inside Mecca and break the Ka'bah brick by brick with his bare hands.

How will this happen? There is no more symbols or supporters of Deen anymore. Only Ishbush bikin and Zalama and Kufar is placed on earth. That's the only thing that's there to the point where the symbol of Tawheed is also broken. And there is a Ka'bah. So what's left?

Why is this happening? Because Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: This world is cursed. Everything in it is cursed except the remembrance of Allah, except the remembrance of Allah and whoever supports it and follows it.

So when the remembrance of Allah is gone and the supporters of it and the believers of it are gone and the symbols of it are gone, Allah refuses to make the world end on any symbol which He loves except those which He hates. And so the symbol of the Ka'bah is gone too.

The Fire That Gathers People

And that is when Allah brings out the final sign which is now a fire. Allahu Aalam, what kind of fire? Is it a burning fire? Is it lava? Is it some kind of Allahu Aalam? But what it will do is that it will not leave anyone in any corners of the earth except that it will come out and bring the people from the top of the world into the...

Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said to the place where they will be gathered. Some ulema say: Is it the gathering that they will be raised from on the Day of Judgement? Allahu Aalam. But it will gather the people there. And that is when the world will end.

Conclusion: The Parable of the Lion and the Well

Finally, I finish with this story I was just telling it to my children and friends when I was coming here in the car.

This man was walking in the jungle and then as he was enjoying the scenery, he heard a roaring noise behind him. I will finish it with this. He looked behind him and he saw a ferocious lion. I know, what is a lion doing in the jungle? Usually it is a tiger, right? But I will tell you the story. It will make sense in the end.

He said, I saw a ferocious lion with a head like a buffalo and his stomach was caved in. He was hungry and he started chasing me. So I ran. I kept running and the lion was after me. Wherever I went, I couldn't escape the lion and he was after me. The lion got so close to me.

Then suddenly before me I saw a well. I jumped into the well for my life and there was a rope hanging. I hanged onto the rope and started swinging in the well. Suddenly I heard the lion's roar fade away slowly, slowly into the dark and he was gone. So I started to climb back up.

But as I was climbing up I looked beneath me and there was a hissing sound. It was a snake, an anaconda. It was rising towards me. So I thought I better climb quicker. But then above on the rope, what do I see? I see two mice. One is black and the other one is white. And it was eating the rope.

And I thought to myself I better make it before the rope cuts off and I fall down to my death. So I decided to swing the rope right and left hoping that the mice would fall off. But as he was swinging from right to left, what happened? He started hitting his shoulder into something sweet and sticky. It smelled so nice.

He looked at it and it was honey. So he started licking the honey because he was hungry. And it tasted so nice that he started indulging in the honey and forgot all about the anaconda, the mice, the rope, the lion, everything. And he sat there relaxed.

Suddenly he woke up. So it was a dream. But he went to the shaykh immediately to get his interpretation. The shaykh smiled and said to him: This is a dream with great meaning to all of us.

The Interpretation

He said:

• The lion is the symbol of the angel of death. He will race after you and will not leave you. No matter where you go, you cannot escape him.
• The well means your grave. The angel of death left you when you die.
• The anaconda is the fact that you weren't praying. There is passion awaiting you if you don't return.
• The rope is your life span, your age, how much is left of it.
• The mice are the night and the day. Every night and day that passes, a bit of your life is taken away. And you are about to die and reach your grave.

So then he said: Ya shaykh, ya shaykh, what about the honey? What about the honey?

He said: Ah, the honey. The honey is the sweetness of this dunya. You became so distracted with the dunya that you forgot that there is an angel of death after you and a day of judgment that is awaiting you.

Final Reminder

So the signs of the last hour are clear to us individually. The white hair. Yesterday you were 10 years old. Now you are 14. And then you died already. Sorry, I don't know, I can't tell. I'll speak to you later about which die you used.

I'm starting to see the signs in myself. The weakness. You've grown now 10, now you're 14, 15, 16. You've got a marriage maybe. All these are signs. Marriage is good, it's not death.

And so my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, do not ask when the last hour is, but what have you prepared for it.
